Brief summary of research over last five years
Imke van Hellemondt (1962) studied history of art at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) te Amsterdam. She specialised in de garden and landscape architecture. Morever she surveyed at the Netherlands Institute in Rome.

Since 1995 she is a lecturer history of architecture at the VU, where she teaches garden and landscape architecture, the architecture of renaissance Italy.

Her research is executed on an freelance base and concentrates on Dutch garden and landscape architecture in the twentieth century. Commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture she coordinated in 2000-2001 a project, in which the status quo of registering of files in the domain of Dutch 20the century garden and landscape architecture was listed. In 1999-2000, as a preparation of a monography, she surveyed part of the work of the lanscape architect Alle Hosper, who died in 1997. At the moment she prepares a publication on the developments in Dutch landscape architecture 1970-2000.
